Diversion Programs
Diversion Programs are designed to divert clients from the Juvenile Justice System by providing counseling, social skills development, mentoring etc. so that the person can remain a productive citizen in society. These programs are also designed to divert clients from the inability to own their homes through our New Vision Community Development Corporation.
Children in Need of Services / Families in Need of Services (CINS/FINS)
Children in Need of Services / Families in Need of Services (CINS/FINS) is a prevention program for youth from ages 6 to 17 years old and their families. This program is designed to strengthen families and equip young people with coping skills to face various life challenges and keep them out of serious trouble.
FYRAC (Family Youth Respite Aftercare Services)
These services are intended to help youth and their families after an arrest, a respite stay or referral from a probation officer to assist with integration into their home environment and community through effective communication, identification of emotions and coping mechanisms.
Prevention Programs
Prevention Programs are designed to provide community-based support services that assist the client in their daily needs and prevents them from further declination of self-worth.
SNAP®
SNAP®, which stands for STOP NOW AND PLAN, is an evidence-based, cognitive-behavioral model powered by the minds at Child Development Institute (CDI). SNAP® helps troubled children and their parents learn how to effectively manage their emotions and “keep problems small.”
Project L.I.V.E. (Learning Interventions Vital to Existence)
We provide Broward County youth effective diversion and intervention programs to prevent juvenile delinquency to youth who are identified as at-risk of becoming involved in the juvenile justice system and are between the ages of 5 and 17.
Family Strengthening Programs
Our family strengthening programs provide families with the support they need to become stronger and healthier. We offer a variety of interactive activities that help families learn how to problem-solve, communicate better, and foster positive relationships. With our support, families will be able to build resilience and create lasting bonds between family members.
FRC (Family Resource Center)
FRC is committed to helping families develop and maintain the type of stable environment necessary to produce self-sufficient, productive citizens. The Family Resource Center strives to preserve the structural and operational integrity of families.
H.I.M. (His Involvement Matters)
H.I.M is an evidence-based program that empowers dads to build strong relationships with their children. The goal of this program is to build a human service culture that’s father inclusive, while engaging and serving fathers by increasing awareness of the positive impact of a father's involvement on the well-being of his children.
F.A.T.H.E.R (Fathers Advancing Towards Healthy and Effective Relationships)
This program offers SNAP® and case management services for those fathers (transitioning home from county jail and/or previously incarcerated fathers, involved in Chapter 39 proceeding and resides in a low-income community) in need of connections, referrals and etc...
