Tierra Smith

Tierra Smith, MS is a servant leader who has dedicated years of service to Prevention Central, various not-for-profit agencies and currently serves as the youngest female Executive Director/ CEO to lead this astounding organization.

In her capacity as Executive Director and CEO of Prevention Central, she has elevated the agency’s profile to a premier nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting community, social, and economic achievement for more than 5,000 youth and families each year. Mrs. Smith has continued to expand the agency’s response to issues of Family Reunification Services, Prevention, Parenting and Neighborhood Empowerment. Focusing on the needs of disadvantaged youth and families in the inner city of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County as a whole.

A proud wife and mother, she also serves as an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and is an avid community nurturer who believes that serving those in need and leading life in love are the keys to a long happy, healthy life. Her passion to assist others in various facets allows her to operate at her full potential while offering opportunities to others. She commits herself to underrepresented communities, young aspiring female leaders and have received various awards and recognition for her professional achievements. Mrs. Smith obtained a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University, MS in Criminal Justice from Nova Southeastern University, a BS Social Science from Bethune Cookman University, and she is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology: Behavioral Health Leadership. She also earned a Certificate in Leadership from Florida Atlantic University and continues to exercise the skills obtained to further the mission of Prevention Central and catapult others.
