Robin R. Newkirk has dedicated more than 17 years of her professional career to the non-profit sector. Robin’s business and financial acumen has led her to the Urban League of Broward County, and in October of 2020, she was tapped to serve as the Vice President of Finance and Administration. Ever committed to inclusiveness and equity and more than just a “numbers professional”, Robin not only oversees accounting, finance, treasury and investments, but is also a servant leader who prides herself on the stewardship of the organization’s mission “to enable African-Americans and others in historically underserved communities to secure economic self-reliance, parity, power and civil rights.”
Hailing from the highest of seven hills, Robin is a native of Tallahassee, FL and a proud graduate of Florida A&M University High School (DRS). On a Presidential Scholarship, Robin attended Florida A&M University and Palm Beach Atlantic Universities earning a BS degree in Business Management with a
minor in Organizational Behavior and an MBA in Finance.
Before being named Vice President of Finance and Administration, Robin served the community with a focus on education and healthcare in variety of increasingly responsible roles including, Director of Finance, Assistant Controller, Controller and CFO. Robin is a member of the Association of Government
Accountants, National Association of Black Accountants, National Black MBA Association and a graduate of Rising Leaders.
